Ken Yates / Birds of Bellwoods

KEN YATES was the 2017 Canadian Folk Music Award winner for Songwriter of the Year and Emerging Artist of the Year! Since 2011, Ken Yates has steadily grown a reputation as one of the country’s brightest singer/songwriters. His sound offers the complete package unforgettable melodies, emotionally charged storytelling, and top-notch guitar chops, all gloriously displayed on Yates new album, Huntsville.

Toronto-based alt-rock outfit BIRDS OF BELLWOODS have wasted little time making an indelible mark on Canada’s musical landscape, having amassed an impressive pile of achievements and accolades in a few short years on the back of their boisterous blend of anthemic alternative, folk, and pop music.

Lloyd Spiegel / The Young’Uns

LLOYD SPIEGEL is a trailblazer at the forefront of modern blues and one of his country’s most recognised guitarists, recently being named in Australian Guitar Magazines list of the top 50 Australian guitarists of all time.  A touring artist since age 11, the seven time Australian Blues Award winner has one of the most unique stories in music. His show blends jaw-dropping guitar expertise with a commanding voice, powerful songwriting and storytelling to deliver a complete concert experience, launching him onto theatre and festival stages across the globe.

THE YOUNG ‘UNS are an acoustic trio from the UK. They were named the best group in 2015 and 2016 at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and won the best album award in 2018. Their live shows are highly political and brilliantly funny.

The Good Lovelies (at The Spire)

THE GOOD LOVELIES – Kerri Ough, Sue Passmore, and Caroline Brooks are immensely talented vocalists and songwriters in their own right; however, it’s their voices interwoven in harmony, powerful and pure, organic and inspiring, that elevates the Good Lovelies from impressive to peerless. Over the course of their decade-plus career, they’ve covered plenty of stylistic ground, adding tinges of pop, roots, jazz, and even hip-hop to their country folk core at various points. Their upcoming collection offers a perfect balance between a more modern production style and the wholesome musical influences that have made them a household name over the years.
